Yea, there really isn't a best gaming distro for linux considering most games are made for windows.

I would say Gentoo as we provide nice ebuilds which make installing games and their dependencies a snap!

Aside from that, all distro's are equal for gaming if they are upto date with proprietry driver releases and kernel updates.

Any linux distro that has at least an up2date and optimized kernel. Gentoo would obviously be the fastest but im not a fan of it.

Also keep in mind, how easy it is to set up agp and graphics drivers. I use the latest preview of kanotix and it has scripts to do all of this. They also compile their own custom kernel for each kernel release and post it on their site for you to install.
