The onboard graphics card (Mobility Radeon 9000) of Acer Aspire 1604LC has burnt out due to excess heat. This is the problem. I am outisde warranty period...Is ther any motherboard that can fit this laptop? Or, if not, what can I possible do with the parts? The processor, RAM, battery, HDD, Optical drives are in excellent condition. Even the LCD.

Buy a whitebok, that's pretty much all you can do if you wish to use all those parts again. Although, the optical drive may be out of the question for re-use depending on what whitebook you get.
Check out the ASUS lineup of whitebooks, they are really sweet.
**EDIT**
Oops, I just checked out your laptop and saw that it uses P4's. I'm not sure how many P4 whitebooks are out there on the market, especially inexpensive ones...

Thanks for the reply.
But, whats a Whitebook? Is it a laptop without the parts? (thats what seems most appealing to me)

A whitebook is basically a notebook barebones (with just the case, LCD, and motherboard).
