what's special about this laptop, is it an alienware killer?

I doubt it's an Alienware killer, though I don't know much about Alienware apart from that they're supposed to be extreme. There's really nothing special about the MSI Megabook M510A. It's just a decent built laptop with a nice GPU. Mine has has the 128 MB version of the Mobility Radeon 9700. My intention here is just to share my experience with it, and get in touch with other owners and potential buyers.
