Pissed problem with sxga+ screen

Hi,

i've a serious problem with my peacock freeliner xp-2 laptop.
it has got a 15' sxga+ screen (means that it is capable of a 1400*1050 resolution)

now my prob: i reinstalled my os (winxp with sp2) and installed the new catalyst 4.8 drivers for my radeon mobility 9600. everything worked fine but my max resolution is 1024*768...
winxp only recognizes a 1024*768 laptop-screen...

somebody an idea how to fix this prob??

thx!!

use omega's drivers. They have custom resolutions.
