your specs are well below the recommended requirements: 2.4 ghz processor, 1024 mb ram, radeon 9500 or higher... far cry should be played on a desktop anyways.

System Specs

I have a P4 HT 3.06ghz, 1gb of RAM, and a Radeon 9000 64mb in my laptop and with the most recent drivers I can run Far Cry with everything on Medium at well over 30fps (I haven't really benchmarked, I'm going on how it feels, at that is conservative). The only thing that makes me think it can't is your processor, but I think it is above the minimum specs.
Try the 4.8 cats or 1.5 Spirits with the DH mobility modder and see how it works. I love that game.
I I was you though, i would not buy the laptop for gaming purposes. Get a desktop or a laptop with a faster processor and a better video card.

I tried it. Same specs here on a P4 3 Ghz on medium. Only weird problem is that it chugs when I get inside a vehicle making the game no fun and unplayable. Once I am on foot tho it runs smooth. Any idea why this happens???

i have a Pentium M 1.5ghz, 512mb pc2700, ATi mobility radeon 9600 pro, now i only played the 2-level demo, but it ran smoothly throughout most of it at 1024*768 everything on medium, laptops are definitly not for hardcore gaming but nothing beats playing Ut2k4 or Doom 3 between clases or in your car

I think the laptop always gets "lag" while you play FarCry under the "low quality" mode on 9200.

Cool! far cry probs

I have a

P4 3.2Ghz 800MHZ FSB, 1024MB 400DDR RAM (though it says 1022MB) Radeon 9700 128MB, far cry had no probs for me, if you get lag upgrading from 512MB to 1GB should help alot, (It def did when I upgraded mine, and I didnt really have probs before) I can run Far Cry with everything on High with very minimal lag/slowdown,

What drivers are you using? Are they ATI's or Omegas?

Secondly what do you have your settings on for Direct3D and OpenGL (Doom 3 runs in OpenGL and so do other games)

Lastly is your 3D card X8 AGP Enabled?

And lastly is BIOS what AGP Apeture is it set to? For ppl with 512MB RAM, this should be set to 64MB, for ppl with 1GB, 128MB.

Hope this helps

I have a Fujitsu - Siemens laptop with the following config...

P4 3.06 Ghz, 1024MB RAM, Radeon 9000 128MB, and I have not been able to even load far cry.

I'm running on WinXp with service pack 1.

Any help about what to do would be more than welcome...

John
