inspiron 5150 video upgrade

does anyone know if there is a video card that will fit into an inspiron 5150, other than what is offered at dell. I have the radeon 9000 64mb now and am looking to upgrade. I was wondering if it is possible to just buy another mobility card or if it has to be directly from dell because of size, bios, issues.
Thanks

Sorry Vikingod,

The replaceable versions of video cards for laptops just aren't generally available yet. The only upgrade path (if actually available) are through the manufacturer of the laptop (Alienware and Dell, among others) at present. There just are not enough laptops out there yet that support replacement and upgrade of the video card.

On top of that, the laptops that DO support the replaceable video cards already have the latest and greatest card installed in them, for the most part.

For your particular unit (the 5150), the video was never designed to be upgradable. It is very important for many reasons that the video be upgradable by design.
