True.

Laptop overclocking is a bad idea. Heat issues And besides, I don't even think it's possible through the regular BIOS options.

Shake them haters off

it super easy to overclock that cpu but it is a hardware hack.... Been there with sl7em 400fsb 2.0 centino now its running 2.66ghz ultra fast not to hot and seriously a safe laptop.
1) rip open computer
2)grab band aids for busted knuckles
3)take one straind of ultra fine speaker wire and connect the 3rd row 15-16 pin in the processor socket
4) replace heat silver crap
5) pray to laptop gods
6) reassemble and have fun
essentialy you are tricking the chip set to think you 400 fsb is now a 533 you will lose the steping capablility so battery life will be shorter but you get a nice 133 multiplyer so do the math 1.7*1.3=2.21 so yeah as fast as the chip set could have made at the time and no dollars spent woooo hooo .... well if you fond of the care bear band like me then maybe a little change

System Specs

If you do, for sure get i8kfangui, it's an absolute must. It provides temperature readings and fan control to dell notebooks. I've been using it for years with my 5150, and its no doubt the only reason the POS is still functional.
