Vaio Clocked at 90C
So, my brother has been having issues with his Vaio Laptop, He's had it for a couple years now and recently he noticed it starts to slow down after about 20-30 minutes of normal use.
He asked me to check it out and it felt a bit hot so I ran HWMonitor on it and came back with a CPU temp of almost 90 Celsius. Holy crap. Meltdown, Right? So my question is, Whats the hottest temp you've seen and whats the best cooling options? I should probably open it up and clean out the clogs right? I've never worked on a laptop before, what do I need to know before I start? just wanna share and hear some of your thoughts Last edited by Solucki; Feb 11, 2009 at 12:11 AM.
