Large screen size laptop 17"+

hi,
i need to get a new laptop to use as a desktop replacement
at least 17" or larger ( the larger the beter!)
its not my gaming comp so it dont have to be a gming laptop

any advice?

dell studio is what u want..

cheap, decent and nice size

up to 1920x1200 res

I'm quite impressed with Acers lineup.... the 17" models are quite nice and the screens are clean/crisp and the color/contrast/brightness are some of the best i've seen.

Course depending on the dollar value you want to spend, the cheapest being a Acer Aspire 7720z which gives you a 17" and a low resolution that still looks great.

But acer's higher end 17" give you the option to go all the way up to 1920x1200 with the crystal bright lcd screens and blu-ray playback.

I beleive i saw one with HDMI out which is quite handy if you want to double it as a portable blu-ray player.

IMO though, Stick with the intel CPU/Chipset if possible.

Hdmi will be usefull, but 1680*1050 is plenty
i will consider both

daam! mayby im crazy but i'm hooked on the older HP hdx 20.1"
the problem is they are not for seal in israel

any one knowes an online store that seales theme? ( and dose international shipments)

maybe somthing of this kinde?
