exclamation Ok another problem with my installing/playing any games

Hi its me again... my mouse started working after a while but I did nothing to it... wierd... well anyway now I got another problem: when I try to play an installed game this comes up:

and when I try installing a game (this time Maplestory EU) this comes up:

and whats more I cant get a better resolution than 1024 by 768 pix

EDIT: ok I know what I got wrong... I kinda have deleted the display adapter... (seriously I dunno how I actually pulled that one off) ah well I tried reinstalling the old one but in the end it stops at: atiadaxx when loading and then I get an error that it couldn't finish installing... ok so what have I done wrong? or what should I do to make it work?

so I'll be very grateful for any help with this
Thx in advance
John

You need to boot to safe mode and uninstall (properly through add/remove programs) your graphics/display drivers. Then reboot into normal and not let Windows install anything on its own. then when you are properly in Windows, run the installation program that came with your graphics card or that you downloaded. Just make sure it is the right one.

It would help if you gave the hardware specs of your pc.

Please tell me what is your graphics card exactly, and where you downloaded that driver from.
If it is a mobile graphics card and you tried to install driver for a desktop card, then it won't work as simply as that. You will have to either download a modified driver/inf or use driverheaven's ati mobility tool found here http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php with the desktop card's driver.

Well the modtool doesn't seem to support the x200. I don't know if older Omega drivers will, but since you have nothing to lose, go to OmegaDrivers.net - Home of the ATI & NVIDIA Omega Drivers. Home and download there either their latest for ATI or one of their older versions.

was the system ok in the past and now suddently you have this problem with all games or is it an issue with just some new games?

Also try out the official drivers off of AMDs site HERE. These are the ones specifically made for Integrated Graphics. Be sure to allow a complete installation, South Bridge install and all. This way you not only get the graphics driver install, but the chipset and GART drivers get reinstalled as well.

If these don't work then it's a good bet that neither will any modified drivers. However, if it does work, then you could move onto the modified drivers.

BTW, be aware that you should never uninstall the ATI/AMD IGP drivers whether you do so through Add/Remove Programs, or via DriverCleaner. If you do you run the risk of messing up your system.
