Downgrade from Vista to XP on a DELL 1525 Inspiron

Hi Everyone,
I have a DELL 1525 Inspiron notebook with a pre loaded Vista Home Premium. I need to run 2 packages SAS and SPSS. Supposedly vista does not support these 2. I have been advised to change to XP. Can you please let me know what could be the way out to change from Vista to XP?
Thanks,
Chetan

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

Few things you need to do is get all the drivers you would need for windows XP. Sound, chipset, gfx and WLAN and LAN drivers or at least what components are used. Store them to USB drive or CD-RW disc.

Well Dell's site is good to start to find the drivers or what components are used in that laptop. The other sources are the chip makers sites, but you need to find out what components you have there.

Just install the XP over Vista, just remember to format the drive during the XP installation.
