Sony TR2A

The hard drive in my TR2A has died and needs to be replaced. I can't find a service manual anywhere and am looking for help in how to remove and replace the drive. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The HDDs of laptops are usually placed at the bottom of the chassis. There should be some kind of cover at the bottom of your laptop. Can you possibly post pictures of it?

The hard drive is not mounted like most laptops are. It is under the palm rest on the left side. I unscrewed all the visible screws but something prevented the palm rest from lifting up. I was hoping someone might know what the next step would be in getting it off. I don't know why Sony doesnt offer a service manual like other laptop manufacturers. Thanks.
