I need advice as to which cnfiguration do you all think is best. The price of the two is pretty even.

First is the configuration I mentioned in a previous thread. this is a Toshiba

I go with the Toshiba. Better brand, and the HD2600 is faster than the 8600GS.

Other than that, they are pretty similar.

Yes I agree that in your two choices I'd prefer the first one, it has better video card.
