rolleyes need advice- GF8600 or radeon2600 ?

Hi there!
I'm about to buy a laptop in few monthes, but still i'm not sure which one of two to take.
I need it for games mainly and to surf the net or watch videos etc... So the main thing is games such as HL2: Episode Two, Oblivion, NFS Pro Street, maybe Stalker and maybe Gothic3, GTA, Quake etc..... Or even wanna try to run crysis and unreal3. (not with ultra high settings of course)
I understand, that laptop is not a PC and i never get very very high fps; also i understand that in some games i will have to set medium quality, turn off some things and bla bla bla And also being a crazy person I will try to overclock the gpu even a little bit.
So now my choise is between two models, they are very simmilar in configs and in price, but have different video cards inside:
first has ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 256MB,
the second is nVidia GeForce 8600M GT 512MB
I was searching all the time for articles about mobile graphic cards and got to know that frequencies of those two cards are simmilar, but radeon has 120 stream proccesing untis, while GF has only 32.
Can anybody who uses or used those devices give me advice which one to buy?

System Specs

IMO, i've been quite pleased with the results that the HD2600XT pci-ex card i've got here manages..

course 3dmark06 isn't a real test... but it scores over 4000marks on the default benchmark...
that's on vista x64....

512mb of onboard video memory will have a very huge impact on the amount of graphics sliders you can increase however. Specifically textures...

I don't have a 8600 to fool around with.

Judas, what core/mem frequencies you have on your 2600XT ?
The bad thing is that I have not yet seen any laptop with HD2600XT for sale in my city

More information

What model laptop is it? Everything in the system can effect how a graphics card performs. I would agree for the most part that the ATI board would perform better, BUT since its a laptop the 8600 would drain by far alot less power off the battery when running mobile. The LCD screen size and type can also play a HUGE role in gaming performance, same as everything in the system. If the 2600xt is to powerful it can hinder performance by causing a "Bottleneck" effect. Ill be checking back tomorrow.

The one with radeon card is a toshiba satellite laptop, model A200-1MA or A200-1KH and the one with geforce is of a local company that builds laptops and PCs. U probably have no idea about this company, its name's Ordi. I can give u links to look at those notebooks.
Toshiba Satellite A200-1KH
and
Ordi Enduro 7590BF
I'll run games while on an electricity plug; playing games while on a battery is cruel, imo.
Both have 15,4" WXGA screens.
