Acer Aspire 5920G bluescreen on start up

Hi, two weeks ago, I bought the new Acer Aspire 5920G with Windows Vista Home Premium installed.
Almost from the beginning I`m getting around every 5th start up a bluescreen with the error: Stop: 0x0000000A(0x0000A9DC, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8205EF3E)
But the system runs perfectly. It`s only this damn bluescreen that sometimes appears. Can it be a driver or any software issue.
Well, I contacted Acer support and they told me to send them the laptop because it`s a hardware failure that can be repaired at their service center. Well, I`m not sure if this really is a hardware failure. At least I hope not.
What do you think ? What do these "Stop" bluescreens on startup mean anyway ?

That won't help, saffo. That error usually indicates bad memory.

However, there is a bug in Vista that can crop up if the system has more than 3GB of ram, is running a Starpot miniport storage driver (a Microsoft Windows storage driver much like a SCSI driver), and is running storage devices in 32bit DMA mode (or some such nonsense). One of the 'workarounds' was to remove most of the ram (so that it's at or below 2GB), and try to run/install Vista. If it works you need to then install a hotfix in order to be able to reinstall the rest of the ram. You can find out more about that HERE.

Pyrot: I assume that you got the default laptop specs for that Aspire 5920G, which was 2GB of RAM, so unless you've updgraded the RAM, or bought it with more than 2GB, then this fix won't help you, because it is most likely bad memory. However, if you have more than that amount of ram then you've got nothing to lose by trying out the above 'workaround'. Hell.. if you have a system that is using more than 1 stick of RAM you may want to try removing one stick at a time to see if one, or both of them are bad. In either case I think Acer's right, and you most likely need to take it in for repair.

Ok, thanks. Yes, I have 2 gb of Ram. But shouldn`t usually memtest show if there`s a Ram problem ? I`ve run memtest and I didn`t get any errors.

UPDATE: Since my last post I didn`t get any bluescreens again or other problems.
