Help! Bios messed up

I was trying to upgrade the bios of my HP and apparently messed it up. I followed the instructions from the HP website. When I loaded the program, it flashed the bios and then it stopped. I tried rebooting but nothing happened. It would boot up at all. What can I do to load the bios? I don't have a floppy drive, only a cd rom drive.

System Specs

Hello Igor2:

I would need the make / model of your HP laptop to provide more detailed information.

However, if you go to the HP support website, and download the Service manual for your laptop model series, it should tell you how to use the "boot block" feature.
Its a reserved portion of BIOS code that normally doesn't get flashed, with just enough code to get your system to boot off of a floppy disk or CD-ROM BIOS update program.

Look under "Support and Troubleshooting information" and try to find the exact service manual.

If you download the "Floppy Disk" BIOS update version of your systems BIOS, you can make a bootable CD with the Floppy Disk image, and some CD Burning software, like Roxio, or Nero. You would need the "IMG" file from the c:\swsetup directory the BIOS update program unpacks itself before it asks for a floppy disk.

Otherwise you would need a USB Legacy Floppy drive.

Good luck, and take care.
