Moved to the laptop forum,

Dell do some nice deals on laptops I'm thinking of picking one up for gf, I've got a asus that's given me no trouble.

TBH tho if you want to game on it, then it's not going to come into the cheap bracket, You really need to pick up one with a proper graphics card in it rather than the usual onboard gfx.

go with a dell, but if you want to buy instore buy something hp to save a few bucks. acer has a few good deals as well but build quality is a little lower on them. warranty wise all are the same except dell you are paying less for more IMO.

im too lazy to get into details, im tired of selling

Gardinen is on a distinguished road

I recently bought a Dell 640m/e1405, with 1gig ram, 80gig 7200rpm disk, and 1.66 ghz CPU. I mainly use the computer for multitrack recordings, i.e. Cubase/Nuendo.
It does what I bought it for just perfectly. Gets me thinking of selling my main computer, since I hardly play games anymore.
