Key Lag on Gateway Laptop

Hey guys,

I was speaking with a buddy whom purchased a Gateway lappy (4000+ proc, x600). He plays WoW, and is noticing some pretty bad key lag while doing anything on the computer. Checked for updated drivers from Gateway, to no avail. Anyone have similar problems or and idea for a solution. He's using the latest Omega's, but I don't think this is a video card issue.

Wondering, did he install any updates or add peripherals to the unit when he noticed this?

Model and Serial number of the laptop would be helpful too.

This was about my laptop, by the way.
Problem (kinda) solved.

Apparently World of Warcraft was the only problem game, and it was only while i was running Ventrilo, in Windows Media Center Edition.

I found , through experimentation, that disabling "Use DirectInput for Push-To-Talk Hotkey" in Ventrilo fixed my issue. Huzzah, i no longer need to boot into a stolen copy of XP-pro to do what i need
