Has anyone heard about any plans for an audio express card,
style Audigy2 ZS notebook ?

You mean similiar to the udigy 2 ZS Notebook?
There are a few semi-pro and pro cards, he A2ZS is the only consumer grade one i think

Yes I mean similar to Audigy2 ZS Notebook, but not in PCMCIA
format, as most notebook manufacturers have stupidly abandoned

the PCMCIA expansion slot in their core duo notebooks leaving us only

with what they call the "express card" or "newcard"
(based on PCI express technology) whitch has a much better performance but, apart a few communiction cards I have'nt heard
anything about any sound card in this format.

B.T.W. the rare core duo notebooks that have both expansion slots,
are the HP Pavillion DV5xxx ,or DV8xxx.

I'm asking this question, because I'm planning to buy a core duo
notebook and it seems that my only choice is the HP Pavillion,
because I need to keep using my Audigy2 ZS Notebook and still
leave the option for the newcards wheeeennn they arrive.

like pci express, it seems no consumer grade cards of any type have been released yet
