Guild Wars Super Laggy

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this but I recently gotten my grubby little paws on Guild Wars: Factions. After checking the computer specifications, I know that I'm all green for the recommended requirements except for one. It says to have at least a ATI Radeon 9000 graphics card.

All I have is the mysterious ATI Radeon IGP 345m which doesn't even appear in the ATI Database apparently. Guild Wars is super laggy and I believe this might be the reason why. I have gotten this computer early last year. Does anyone have an suggestions on how to fix this?

http://forum.notebookreview.com/arch...p?t-17844.html heh... change laptop... or if it has an agp or pcie port, find a card... i'm not good with laptops though

there's that one prog, 3danalyze, that can trick a game into thinking your card is different or has different limits

& is your directx up to date? (9.0c)

I shall try the 3DAnalyze whatchamawhasis.

However...with my past game on this computer, I believe that Guild Wars shouldn't have too much trouble running on me computer. The game has no problem running Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic (Fairly intense graphics here) as well as the Sims 2 (with the exception of bathing which causes minor slowdowns).

Oh, and yes. DirectX is 9.0 (it came with the box) and before I forget, it's Factions, not the orginal.

ya you mentioned it was factions

also, 'intenseness' isnt just how much is on the screen & it's different from what gfx things are called for the card to perform (such as shaders or stencil shadows)

It helped slightly but it's still pretty laggy.

Also, would it be worth to mention that the game starts out smooth but then gets laggier and laggier and then when the lag goes over the top, it returns to smooth and then continues the pattern?
