Need laptop help!

I just got a used laptop but it runs like crap. Its a Presario R3000. Its running crappy because the previous owner installed tons of crap and Windows is messed. I've got a copy of windows XP but I don't have the drivers disk for the laptop. What I want to do is a clean windows install, but I dont have the hardware drivers.

System Specs

You can use the actual model number of your laptop (on the bottom?) while at HP/Compaq's site to get the manufacturer's drivers for XP - granted they may be old, but are the most likely to work. Save them somewhere (like on a CD or flash drive) for use after you do a fresh install of XP. Along with the drivers from the WinXP disc you should be pretty much covered...

Edit: Quite a list of models here for drivers and support:
