I have this b-52 in actuall flight somewhere in my archives....Also got a few pics somewhere....
The British equivalent.... the Lancaster bomber.... Supported by 2 spitfires (different cameras hence the difference in quality cheapo 2.1 mp camera and it shows)..
Just a few of the historic planes that made a huge difference to WW2.

planes are majestic, their significance in wars has been paramount. The guy I know in work who is into aircraft goes to all the airshows in england, he has some seriously high end camera equipment mind you with a zoom lens that can pick out a pilots face quite clearly in the sky.
Nikon D100 I think, with some £2000 lenses, and portable hard drives the works.

If you have seen the Memphis belle movie.....if you remember the ginger gunner played by Eric stoltz " Sgt. Danny Daly". my brother in law owns the leather flying jacket worn by him..authenticated by all details paid for via the auction..

I don't mind you asking.....
But my B-In-Law is a tight ass when it comes to money....He does not tell what he pays (he tries his hardest to make out he HAS NO MONEY) But is as tight as a tight man can be to be skint...Had years of his bulls**t.
He is the type of man who is more interested in what another person earns (and yet he earns peanuts) Yet he is the manager of a chemical firm....
He will not say what he paid for the jacket he owns.with the exeption of "I paid a little more than expected"... Thats as far as it goes..

HeHeHe you were the first member i thought of when posting this pic onto DH... The old classics are my favorites....
It's also probably time to make a return visit to some of the air museums/airshows the uk hold.
Out of the airshows i have seen the euro fighter has to be the most impressive of the modern day jets..even though the shows were only limited to 2 mins os display time..(somewhat disappointing).

I am thrilled by the expectation of seeing more of these beautiful machines. I enjoy the english designs particulerly the Hawker aircraft as they are aesthetically pleasing and lethal at the same time. I used to build flying scale aircraft and scale plastic as well, just the gentle sweep and curve of the larger machines really gets me.

Unfortunately i do not have any others decent enough to post....the first pic was taken with a Fuji A210 @3.1m pixels....the others posted is with a cheap jenoptic 2.1m that only has digital zoom....
But have recently upgraded to a fujifilml e510 5.1m digi cam.....within the next year i intend to revisit the air shows and museums to get much better pictures...
