EEK! Honeymoon pics

LOL hey, I'm not that dirty to share THOSE with you all. But here are a couple from one of the places we stoped at, Discovery Cove, while we were in Florida.

We got to spend 30 min in the water with these awsome creatures. They are much bigger up close than I thought they would be. Our dolphin, Natasha, was 27yrs old and weighed 700lbs!

We took over 200 pictures along with some underwater ones, but these I think capture the energy of the visit best. Hope you enjoy!

~~edit: I decided to post up the thumbnails of the copies of the pics hosted at image shack rather than the orginals due to their size.

It was amazing to be so close to them, there was a part of the time we spent in the water with them that we got to "ride" them back by holding their dorsal and pectoral fins. So very powerful, there was also another part where they made us stand in a circle and had the dolphin swim around us like a "shark" but at a pretty fast pace, no one could keep their footing due to the water churning so much from the power of the dolphins tail.

Glad you like them.

I decided to thumbnail link these next pictures since my previous files were so large. Sorry about that.

Here are some more pictures from Discovery Cove, the first is one of the many tricks they have them perform. The second is in the Stingray Lagoon
at feeding time, they were feeding them shrimp. The third of these is me in one of their aviaries. They give you cups filled with fruit and nectar to
feed the birds with and they come right up and land on you. It was quite an experience having never been a perch for a bird before!

Here are some of the underwater pictures we took. The first is my wife showing how brave she is touching the stingray(their stingers are clipped).
The other two are in their artificial reef. Quite a variety of fish, we had a great time in there.

This picture is one from Sea World. It is their largest killer whale. They said it was 12,000lbs and 22feet long!

This is Busch Gardens newest rollercoaster Shiekra it opened the week that we got to the park. It has a nice 90 degree drop that they hold
you at the top of right as you go over the edge and are looking straight down to increase the suspense. We got lucky and got in the first row.
