sig modification help (photoshop)
im trying to make some wooden lookin handles for the axes in my sig, ive tried for over an hour but nothing seems to look right, any suggestions.

Do an image google search for "wood" or use a Photoshop plugin to do this

edit > fill
use - pattern custom pattern - wood its basic but i dont know the look you want. but i would do as md5 first suggested.. simply search for a wooden texture on google and then paste it - position it - then cut it to the shape you want |

to light PJ, i made some dark looking oak... very easy, almost to easy...
heres the sig  edit.... i still dont know why it doesnt look right.... was thinking of mabye a skull in the middle or darkining it.... or an upside down cross..... |

go to a harware store website and get a pic of a real one. Make it match size then try playin with "layer styles" in you layer's pallette and the opacity.
