Is that a normal sized squid, or is it extremely oversized? I'm not much of an aqua-life buff.

your run of the mill squd are maybe 8 inches to a foot

Now that's only one tentacle belonging to a juvenile 6 meters (19.5 feet) long. A baby... i am never going into the ocean at night again.
* if you search google you'll see alot of WEIRD ceatures washed up from the Malaysian/ Indonesian area tsunami.
