thanks but there is only a 100kb difference and i didn't add any sounds.. also do you need to save it with some sort of size limitations, because if i open it with IE rather than flash player it opens full screen

just set it up in an HTML page with a size
Code:
embed src="urlandfilenameinhere.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="400" height="150"></embed>

you know your stuff thanks for this, it should come in handy later, but for this i don't see a problem with it as GIF, it is still only 130kb which is much smaller than the average pic around here. and i dont have sounds or anything that the gif loses
thx for the comments people

no its cool, I like gifs myself, especially for black and white or low colour work but they have limitations - flash is also frame for frame much more efficent for file sizing, and if you need that, its handy. keep up the good work, very nice animation indeed

out of curiousity, what do you have to do to use Flash sigs, and are they on the same size limit ? i assume its another post count thing ? perhaps i should do the unthinkable and post on 'thread of randomness' or '3 word story' no no.. NEVER

well im pretty close, to earn the medal you have to in the words of Zardon:
'These people have given alot to the site and should be recognised for a high standard of posting, site commitment, helpfulness and personality'
which counts me out, as im scared of leaving Heavenly Visions, and off-topic scares me
hehe seriously..im just happy looking at and posting work just curious
