Haiku is a form of poetry peculiar to japan
it uses few words in a phrase to describe a feeling
or an image...
Hito koishi hitoboshi koro wo sakura chiru

"Yearning fills my heart

When the candles are lit;

Cherry blossom fall."

are you familiar with Fernando Pessoa poetry, the guardian of the sheep or the flock?

compelling is more accurate than nice. I recommend any poetry or Haiku by Basho, it is soothing and the imagery is very grand and compelling as well, helps order my thoughts, very Zen...Just google it, and you will no doubt find Basho on the web, as for me, I have a worn and yellowed copy of haiku harvest from my childhood I have taken all over the world twice, and I keep it with me now...Poetry can provide great peace if not clarity.
