Looking good Dyre, my only suggestion would be to remove that shape under the title, i think it doesn't play well with the composition, just my oppinion

Do you think the shape would work well as a backdrop to the title? With lots of contrast, that is?

I agree with wertret, also I think the Dh cutout mid section should be warped into depth perspective so its in the same 3d positioning as the planet. it seems too flat.

In this program (Photo Impact XL which I'm testing) there's a Z-merge option as well as a Defringe. Neither of those are giving me the effect I'm trying to get. The Warp tool for the 5-pointed symbol defaults to only 4 grab points. So, that options out.

what program are you using? if you dont have fine enough control over the dh cutout section, save it on its on or take a screenshot, cut it out with bezier curves, isolate it on a layer with transparency over the background and warp it in photoshop. then merge layers and save as the final image.

I can create as many grab points as I like for the path. In fact, that's how I created the symbol to begin with. I used a 5-sided default polygon and just added a new grab point for each default one. Then I converted all the straight lines to curves and proceeded from there.

I'll be checking out some other options in the program to see what I can come up with.

The DH logo looks cool animated, but not many people use Active Desktop, so you're better off with a jpeg or a png.

I know. But, for those who do....

Anyway, I can definitely post a link to a non-animated one if anyone really wants to use this. Mostly, this is just an exercise for my own sake to see what this program can do....and show others, too.

Which download are you trying to get? I just did a test download of the latest 1500x1200 and it shows up and works fine when viewed in the browser window. In fact, it resizes to fit within the boundaries of whatever size you adjust to window.
