Fiery Sky
One of my favorite pieces of technology is my digital camera. I carry it with me just about everywhere I go. I've made mention before that I probably look like an old guy carrying a purse because the case is about the size of a small purse.
Anyway, without it, I'd never have gotten the following shots. My son, daughter-in-law, and I had gone to the local Lowe's for some supplies for remodeling we're doing to the house. As we walked out, we were greeted with the most AMAZINGLY lit sunset I've ever seen!

This particular effect was extremely short-lived. If we'd have been in the store even a minute longer, we'd have missed it.
