she can do 28 knots easy on four screws.
has done 32 knots war emergency but the stern gets thrown quite a bit.... we did 22 knots full reverse on two screws burning good old fuel oil. it is possible to ride the bow wave during a short run between Long Beach and San Diego, but the only person that ever tried was a fella on a Jet Ski near Seattle, but we ran him over eventually....a green peace chap. and we rescued him..
