Building V1 (C4D) [56K Warning!]
I've been wanting to bench my new E4500 i got for christmas and i think this model was perfect, global illumination, ambient occlusion, the whole hog was used.
Whaddya think? It's still a work in progress so i'll post another thread when it's coloured and the lights at the top are sorted

So you have a full version of Cinema4D... and you say that you can't afford a decent PSU?

Tried it but i didn't like it, C4D's just familiar to me, plus there's still plenty to learn about it

is the graphical interface of c4d have 3+ points of axis view? (x/y/z/camera?)
one thing i utterly hate about bryce (so much potential) is that it only gives you one point of view at a time.. making it way to time consuming and tedious...
nor does it have a snap to grid system.

I'll repeat myself here. Judas, have you considered Blender? I don't know what kind of work you need to do, but Blender is quite advanced. And you can configure the UI to whatever you want. So before paying ~700 EUR for C4D (or getting it "some other way") you could try free Blender and see if it would suit your needs.

i had tried blender at one point.. but i never had it long enough to really draw conclusions on it..
i will likely try it again..
however it's not so much for me.... (i have no way to transfering what i have thought up in my imagination to digital paper or even real paper and it pisses me off lol).... it'll likely go to my oldest sister for her to work with.

I'd suggest downloading the evaluation edition off Maxon.net and seeing how you go with that, then if you like it just "get hold" of the full version, or buy it lol

No thanks, If you can't verify it I'm not interested. But if you find a completely legal free full C4D download send me a link and I'll consider it...
I'll stay loyal to Blender till then.
