They ain't too bad,my nephew has just bought a Smart forfour in black with 17" 5 spoke Momo's and low profile tyres...Still kind of ugly but quite cool at the same time, but keeping it to a single color is a saving point.

they have a really low C02 impact for a combustion engine car, and a good idea round town.

I think they are really groovy, and not the gas guzzling heaps of metal that American Cars are, the C02 signature for these beasts is minimal...
Our planet is being polluted by more than just cow farts ya know, every little bit helps!
One day...the fuel hungry SUV will go away.
Lets stop mortgaging the future of our children by lessening the pollution we create already. Internal combustion must evolve and become more efficient because it is using up non-renewable resources very very fast.

Because I had the same idea before my fiance taught me otherwise...
What makes you think that a car of more than double the mass and weight is any more secure? Everything is dangerous when you are at the road. Those little ugly-to-the-disguisting-limit cars are designed by Mercedes and are pretty much secure.
For the records:

PS. My fiance wants me to buy one of these instead of a bike. No way on earth I will. Even if I ever raise enough money to buy a bike anyway...

A little offtopic, but can you please read you're pm for an explanation to my background..And why i may appear to be quite odd at times. And i'm far from making things up as i go.
The ForFour is quite a odd looking car in my opinion. And these do look much worse in some of the multi color styles they are available in.
As i mentioned my nephews forfour is completely black. With the added benefit of somebody else expense leaving a full set of Momo alloys (17") fitted with some extremely low profile tyres...in turn does actually make his car look much better. It is one of those additions that makes a difference to the overall appearance.

Well...I suppose....its similar to the way I feel about animals like chihuahua and poodles which I think are too small to fall into the 'dog' category so I call them rats.
