Agreed, had some some nice crisp days round here the last few, as Summer progresses round here usually turns into a thicky humidity pit with grey skies and air so thick you swimm around, hot as hell to. I think it has to do with all the water round here, lots of small lakes and ponds and just water in general to evaporate. Theres an old arsenal bout 5-10 miles away, dont know really what era(s) munitions were manufactured there, but i remember hearin the reason it is in this local is the North East Ohio has good hazy coverage from the sky for a larger portion of the year than not.

where do you live, Dayton? or closer to Cincinnati?....
We have some old DOD sites here they are converting to public lands...but they have to remove the rocket fuel, buried jellied gasoline, oil, plastic explosives, artillery rounds, etc. I am thinking that no place around the railroad yards here is safe for habitation. We literally have the best lands potholed with mines and leach ponds with mercury and arsenic washing into our freshwater sources. We have a real problem with water quality on the prairie so most of it comes from deep wells or from mountain sources. We can use up good water real fast so we depend on the weather to bring us snow and rain.
We get lots of beautiful sunrises and sunsets but if they dont have precipitation or the promise of it, then it is just a postcard for disaster.
There are just too many damn people in Colorado Springs.
Ironic too, since the whole town was founded as a refuge for wealthy english that invested in the gold mines and the reduction plant and all the service industry that went with it. Old Colorado City has a wonderful flair to it still, and we have not lost our Wild west mentality either....
Guess its the cowboy way...LOL

No, i live on the east side of ohio on the border of PA, do you have google earth?? The compound i was speaking of is at N 41 degrees 11'42, W 81 degrees 05'24", alot how you described it with a railway and also a large body of water near it, and i live cpla miles south east right by Lake Milton @ N 41 degrees 06'39", W 80 degrees 58'57"

Just got the idea to peak at the arsenal with google earth, always wanders what was back there, lots of woods and paths, in the 2 near by town Newton Falls and Windam there is area of town now referred to as the projects, lots of small uniform houses bundled together, generally small in Newton Falls, Lil larger in Windam, all white and uniform though for the most part(populated and urbanized but you can still see the layout), maybe housing?

Also the three lakes around here where all man made at reletivly the same time, tthe one i live by, Lake Milton, the one by the arsenal West Branch Lake, and another to the south Berlin Lake, where i live it amore touristy if you will, houses on the lake, roads and stores along the lake, generally more people, Berlin is the same, lil less people though, no sign of the government or military untill about 15 yaers ago when Lake Milton became a State Park, West Branch on the other hand is directly South of the arsenal separated fom it by a ST RT and a 2 path railway. The lake itself seems quite abit different that the other 2, it was built by the Army Engineers, though you are allowed to walk just about anywhere by the lake there are no roads real close surrounding the lake no houses immediatly on the water like the other 2 lakes, and the DAM setup looks a lil more complex, also it really looks like they were preparing for the water of the lake to rise real high by the way they have this channeling set up around there with a large cement field setup, its just alot different than the setups used at the other 2 near by lakes that are comparible to in body size and nearby terrain, the only real difference i can see is this lake is across the street\railroad from a large underground military setup??

LOL, jeez kinda just kept goin! Think theres any relevence or am i just wacked out?

no what ya mean brother, but citys have their own heartbeat or tempo really, they live like a giant organism, sort of the antithesis of what mother nature is really...how ironic.
