she waits for the sun to set on the purple range
Amber fields of buffalo grass wave gently in the northern breeze

heart beating in her armoured chest this meeting has been arranged
lying still, hidden from view, she can hear the snow dragon and rests on one knee

horizen to horizen mighty winds drive the snow god across the mantled peaks
and the sun dissolves behind the mighty wings of the ice beast bearing down

from the ramparts the the curtain of arctic air freezes what it seeks
the flesh of man, the arbor carpet of green and brown

thunder and snow herald the coming of the mighty snow kings flight
a pale shadow grows and grows and with it a hell spawn chill

she fights the frost and fights the bitter cold and waits for night
lance held fast, the spell is cast the dragon plummets down for the kill

faster than the sword of steel, faster yet than the arrow from the strongest bow
the lance is shattered in the white scaly breast

blown down by the blizzard and the blast she can smell the unearthly blood flow
beyond her lies scattered the flying ice god, and she closed her eyes to rest

A one way journey a warriors quest, a promise she has fulfilled
the life slowly leaves her broken form

the last dragon of the haunted mountains, supreme power and indomitable will
for the warrior maiden, for the god of winter, no one will mourn

save for the crying souls of the icy winds
