Quiet of the Fallen
also around 16-17
You hear the quiet of the fallen. You look across the battlefield for a sign of hope, but there is none. Gone it is, like the souls of your fellow man that you helped take away. You think for a moment about what is happening to you, but you also wonder. What of the dead? Why am I not amonst the bodies, the remains, and the shattered hope of humanity? It would be easy to say it is God and his will. That would make you accept the fact that you are alive, for a while anyway. But, the demons come back, they always do. Could it be that God was made by the human race, not the other way around? Did we create him so that there is a purpose in life, and an answer ti all the questions? Our morals are based on God and gods. Why is it that we are so easy to accept that which is uknown to us? If there were no God would there be a reason to live?
I wrote that because I had sooooooo many questions about God, but I found the answers. I hope everyone finds theirs.

Thanks, comin from a poet like you that means a lot.
I may get into singing because I have so many good ideas for songs that aren't all just doom and hate. It won't be like this particular piece but I will be pretty light hearted. I may just try to bring that old kind of rock and roll that I don't see now adays. The only thing stopping me from singin though right now is my lack of training in my vocal chords.
I'll try to write some poems for you guys if time abides. I used to be really good (though I burned most my good ones) so hopefully its like riding a bike. : )

singing and laughter is the best.
My girlfriend and I take drives across the plains of Colorado and we listen Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline or oldies from the 50s and 60s and we sing till we get embarassed.
I am afraid I am an Alto Bass and she has a sweet voice that compliments my own voice.
I still sing in the car by myself now and then to rock music, but I am afraid my voice sounds like a chainsaw cutting through a screen door..
