First Demos from my new band!
These are very rough cuts, one take, but at least we got something down (and yes, I did hose the lyrics on both tunes. . .too much tequila).
The name of the band is Darko's Vega, we have been jammin together for about 4 months. . .gigs are starting!
Bertha
China Cat
Enjoy,
rasta
P.S. No, GD is not all we do. . .lots of reggae and other R&R as well. More to come!

Man you have to do a video, I am playing it at full volume here at Kinkos at Citadel Crossing in Colorado Springs and the staff and customers are bobbing their heads and digging it, I wouldnt mind seeing a video with the music in the bacground, this is good stuff, and it reminds me of my hobo days as kid on the road in my old car. Would you mind if I or my friends make a video with the music, or maybe you guys produce one yourselves, this is a hell of lot better than Blues Traveller and it is fresh and rewarding to listen to. This is good college club stuff too, take it on the road man.
I listened Bertha in my car this evening and it sure took me back to the highway and good times when I was a kid, please share more man, and keep the harmonica and guitar combo, it sure is good to know that music isnt just in the studio, but in the hearts of artists again......thanx man for the tunes.
P.S. Darkos Vega? (whats the story behind that?)

That's ok man. Kinda reminds me of WAR, guess it's the bongos or something. Man what was this recorded with Cubase SX or something. Nice mix and all.
BTW, what's your part in this band?

Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words, dudes. Glad you enjoyed the tunages, there are definitely more on the way (and my reply is delayed, as I have been out of town).
Let me answer a few of the questions. . .
My part in the band is singing & playing my beloved strat, and arranging our relentless assault of covers. The mixes you hear were done directly on the recording device, which is an old multi channel ZIP drive recorder (don't recall the model, but can find out). The effects & all are built into it. I do have & use Cubase, tho, and I would like to get a crack at these tracks in Cubase, and prolly will later on down the road.
As for the name, it is a hell of a long story, but a funny one that I will share with you soon.
Thanks again for the support. . .I love that you guys are enjoying it, and will definately put up more.
Peace,
rasta

I didnt really care for Bertha, but I am currently listening to China Cat and think it's pretty good! Not the best quality because you don't have an expensive studio or anything. China Cat is pretty catchy. So catchy, as a matter of fact, that I will noew go get my iPod Shuffle and put it on
Great job!
