If an outsider had a seat
in the auditorium of my life
I would be the moon - a situpon one
A harvest moon
A sickle
A chameleon
Like tonite - day after Christmas
Lots of people think I have lots of things
Going on, that someone else is secretly
taking care of me and they have
nothing to worry about.
But truth be told
The moon is bright, but she is lonely
Looking on the populated bustling earth
Not everyone
They just think they dont hear
from me, Im busy --Must be.
But a lesson can be learned
from stillness and a lonely
moon.
The stars surround it
but only in appearance
Truth be told --
the stars are millions of lightyears
and a deep sigh - away.
And so the moon sits luminous and everchanging
Waiting for some gravitational wonder to pull
her closer, higher, & feed her warmth.
