drowning, sinking into deeper and darker depths I fall
bright green into cobalt blue then black.

an absence of color, all removed from my eyes I hear the call
consumed by nothingness, no wieght and no way back.

intercourse with darkness, the endless void, crushed and burst
spiral into the sub atomic distance between the seen and unseen.

no hunger, no dreams and no faith no better or worst
compressed beyond measurement of physical mass my desperate dream.

before I existed and before I die, only decay, oxidation and dust
peeling off the patina of life neither death nor expectation of life.

nothing more than the sum of all that ever came before polished or pitted with rust
living and dying, alpha and omega, creator and destroyer, the darkness or the light.

I am not fooled nor decieved by the promise of heaven or hell
my life a clever facade for the benefit of a jealous god I played my part

I took the stage and I took my turn until I finally succumbed and fell
energy that I possessed, another soul, another lifeless body and broken heart

a moth to a flame, a pointless act, my journey to my own final act I waited for my turn
the minutes, days and years have gone by my journey has run its course.

comforted by words and soothed by images of a reward I have yet to learn
evaporate beneath the crushing wieght of time, the unstoppable force.
