Which Mouse Pad?
It's not exactly 'hardware' but, it's becoming very annoying to me.
It's a Kensington with a wrist pad that is really comfy except.... I keep catching it just before it lands in my lap! During games as I use the keyboard and mouse, this pad slips across the front edge of my desk and I have to catch it and push it back into position....over and over again. What do you guys use for mouse pads?

But, I've really gotten used and need a wrist pad. This one I do have now is the most comfortable in that respect. I just wish it would stay put.

I use a Destrukt mat.
Very nice but the wear is starting to show a bit. I'm surprised at the quality for a non-metal pad though. I'd say it's worth a few bucks at least. |

My desktop is a hardwood (oak) desktop and I don't want to mar the surface if I can avoid it. I'd actually thought about using some two-sided tape if that's what you're referring to. But, I'm afraid of what it would do to the surface when/if I need to move things around and remove the mousepad for even brief periods of time.

ok, so you are looking for a good or better mousepad that also must coincide well with your computer desk/table?
what might have made the kensington one to work better on your computer desk? how about, adding more weight to it? no? |

I think the biggest problem is that my desk has such a slick surface that the rubber backing on the pad doesn't really 'stick' to the surface. There's really no friction between the two. So, the pad slides pretty freely. As such, during intense use in the middle of games, I find the pad just about to fall off the front edge of the desk.
What I might be looking for is a much larger footprint item that both my keyboard and mouse pad can rest on so that there won't be such a tendency to move about. The current mousepad (Kensington) is about 9 inches x 10 inches. It's not very large at all.
