Probably better to run the DDR400 memory at 333 (and maybe sharpen the timings, so if specified as CL3 at 400, it should be able to run CL2.5 at 333), rather than operating asynchronously - aspecially if the board uses an Nvidia chipset, as their performance is not good with asynchronous memory operation.
Take a good look around the overclocking sites, if the spec of that Barton makes it a good overclocker, you may be able to push it to 400 from 333
