Samsung's 1100DF and CRT Monitor woes.

I just got one of these after reading a bunch about them and the few people here talking them up.

The geometry on this thing is garbage. I've had it about 4 days, its probably going back and I'm gonna be out near $100 shipping. I don't think its simply the one I got because I've since found mention of its crappy geometry (wish I had before hand). Its a joke that they try to advertise this monitor for CAD use in thier sales blurb. I have a 7 year old 21" intergraph and its geometry is no where NEAR as bad as this atrocity. I bought it for games but hell I cant even work on my websites or look at a spreadsheet without seeing geometric variations in the screen. (Its not really subtle, its the kind of thing I guess the average user could ignore if they don't realize what a straight line is supposed to look like). These are not correctable with the geometric controls available becasue they are isolated to certain sections of the screen and vary greatly based on the vewing angle.

Leads me to belive its samsings failure to correctly compensate for the parallax effect of havinga a "FLAT" (yea right, no CRTs are really flat on the inside) CRT. The glass is actually thicker in certain parts of the screen wich makes lines appear to bend. If so, the trade off for reduced glare is just insane and a gimmick. I would have bought a non-flat monitor if I could find a decent one that wont set me back a grand. I bypassed aperture grill monitors because of the stabilizing wires and the probability of a blurrier font quality, but I think thats where I may have to turn.

What pisses me off so much is everything else about this monitor is great. If they had offered exactly the same thing without their dynaflat tube it would have been a great monitor.

This plus a 915N LCD with back light leakage a blind man could see means I'm never buying a product from samsung again.

I'm very angry at what has become of the monitor market. In my opinion LCDs are still unacceptable for gaming regardless of what anyone says (I know becasue I own or have tested some of the latest 4MS monitors) and I kinda like my blacks to actually.... be black. My extensive research of the few 20" vewable CRT choices still left in production has led me to nothing but a waste of $100 and a continued search for somthing thats good for gaming and doesn't make certain sections of the screen look like I've dropped a hit of acid.

Anyone have any suggestions?
