Asus P4PE Shut Down Problem
Hi just got this Asus P4PE board and now when I shut down over night and then when I turn it on in the morning it will not turn on the system turns on but no boot up has anybody had this problem and maybe know how to fix it if not I will have to return this board want a pain in the a___ do you guys think I should get a abit IT7 Max v2

Did you get a new power supply as well? If not, are all 3 motherboard power connectors in use?

Hi again
Here are my Specs
PIV 2.66B@3.200Mhz 160fsb@427mhz memory Asus P4PE/GBL/SATA/RAID/1394 Beta Bios 1003 Swiftech MCX 4000 Cooler Corsair PC3500 CL2 512MB ATI 8500 128mb 2.5 cata drivers Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum Asus CDRW 52x24x52 Pioneer 106S Slot DVD 2X Seagate 80Gig 7200rpm Antec 1040 Aluminum Case w/side window,top window and 6 see thru fans Antec True Power 550 watt Power Supply w/ purple see thru casing Windows XP Pro sorry guys this is not as good a systems as you guys have around here but i quess it's ok I think I found the problem I had the cpu vcore at stock voltage so i turned it up alittle and also my memory timing was to aggestive so lets see what happens tomorrow hopefully that may fix the problems thanks for the reply Last edited by misterman87; Jan 6, 2003 at 09:51 AM. |

Ok well I was right vcore was low and my memory timing was to aggestive so know everything is ok

Well I quess I did not fix the shut down start up problem it came back so i returned the board to many problems if you read around about this board Have a nice day

yeah I did but still the same thing I really did like the board but it had that problem if not I would have kept the board do you think they may straighten out this problem later on I think the rest of my system is up to par oh well maybe looking into that albatron px845pe pro II board or abit it7-max2 v2.0 only problem with the abit it only has 4 pci slots thanks for asking
