Correct intel cpu?

I am thinking of upgrading my cpu, and i dont know if its the right one
My computer can be found on packard bell website, on the welcome page there is my pc support box, type this number 010947420034.
My current cpu is Intel p4 FC-PGA2 478 pin 1.8 GHz
Potential new one is Intel p4 FC-PGA2 478 pin 2.4 GHz
My mobo apparently supports up to 2.4, so will this work?
Mobo=MS6506
