Finaly new System
Well i finally got around to using El_Kapitano's A8V Deluxe motherboard. Unfortunatly my CPU is stil not available
Luckily I got a "loan CPU" from the store. Really nice to let me borrow it, it came in today and the owner said i can use that as long as it takes for my CPU to come to the store. It's a AMD64 3000+ Venice core. Got only one question, how do i OC this 3000+? Heard they are good OC'ing so if anybody can point me to a good thread, i searched, but found nothing really noteworthy unfortunately. Sofar this is my new system: ASUS A8V Deluxe AMD64 3000+ Venice core 2048 RAM (2x 1GB PQI Memory) The rest is still the same, for more info see my sig, will change it when everything is completed.

Well in that light, you're right, but he's the owner and said knock your self out with it. He ordered it to make a new system for in the back of the shop where he and his personel could work on and use it. He was curious how it would fare and he gave me free play with it, as long as mine X2 isn't there.

After seeing this thread I will never again lend a CPU out to a customer.

Not that i'm really gonna do it. The owner said see how far it goes and when your X2 is in, let me know how it performs. Seeing i don't have a real clue how to adjust everything that's why i asked. This CPU will be used for a system only the owner and his personel will use. Like downloading drivers for systems, used by students for their internship, some benchmarking (game fanatics) and that's it.So as far as I see it, i haven't done anything wrong ![]() Quote:

Hehe no worries. It wasn't me that lent you the CPU. I was just saying that if I ever get into this situation I'll make sure that the ground rules are laid out ahead of time.
Its not like the old days where you can really fry something by OC'ing (not unless you go really nuts).

Ok, that's true.. hehe must say, that i lost like 400Mhz (compared to my old 3400+, in HL2 the difference is about nihil. Only BF2 is a little bit slower, but still fluid enough to play at high settings.
