Interesting info.....

I just got my May issue of Maximum PC today.They say that AMD's FX line of CPU's will remain single,NOT duel core....."intersetingly enough,the company{AMD}tells us it's high end Athlon 64 FX processors will remain single core".{page 38}

I dont think its a big deal anyway - dual core chips arent for gaming or really even for the majority of home use, they are primarily geared towards encoding and professional applications.

People instantly assume because something has "more" its immediately better for everything.

Well,I guess I had best put this FX-53 on E-Bay before the FX-57{or whatever there gonna call it}comes out.Cant be long now.They also have an article on a rig Falcon -NW sent them with an Intel CPU in it.....Blew away all the benchmarks to date.AMD's surely to strike back....SOON!

Why are u selling the FX-53? It's still a pretty good processor. Do u need the latest and greatest of every pc component out there?

The Athlon 64 4000+ is apparently going to be the last single core Athlon 64 though, all model numers after that are going to be dual core.
