Recommendations for new Computer

Hey guys,
i recently recommended aparts for a new computer, what ya think? best bang for buck?

CPU: AMD 3500+/3200+/3000+ 90nm (Venice)
$180-320 (i think)

RAM: 2x512MB PC3200 DDR400 latency: 2.5 Corsair Value Pack - (run this in Dual Channel on mobo)
$85

HD Drive: WD Raptor 75GB 10000rpm SATA (if ur willing to spend money - however, this is not bang for buck - id just get the Seagate listed below)
$170

HD Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 250GB 7200 rpm SATA
$140

Drive: DVD Player
$30

*Drive: DVD/CD burner such as a NEC 16X Double Layer DVD±RW Model ND-3520A BK
$50

Floppy Drive: Standard

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X800XL or Geforce 6800GT (best bang for buck)

$275-375

Motherboard: MSI Neo4 nforce4 Ultra Platinum Edition with/without SLI or get the Asus "A8N-SLI Deluxe" nForce4 with or without SLI , what ever u want (SLI is for 2 graphic cards - has to be with Geforce, ATI doesnt support SLI right now)

$140-180

Power Supply: Thermaltake Silent Purepower with/without PFC active 480w

$45-60

-Case: Aspire X-Dreamer II / or Aspire X-Plorer/ or Tsunami Dream (a little bit expensive but very eligent)
$60 - 110

-Speakers: Logitech X-530
$60

*Soundcard: Chaintech 7.1 Channel PCI Sound Card (for music) / or Audigy 2 (for gaming) / Audigy 2 ZS (for gaming)

$25-65

-------------------

Keep whatever parts you can like DVD player, HDs, Soundcard, Floppy - and if you really need to get new ones then do so. Also do research before you buy anything.

Best Sites to look for the best price (i trust these sites more then others, for certain reasons):

Edit: I'd also recommend ABIT FATAL1TY AN8 Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 MOBO however, it cost 185$. This is the non SLI version.

Hope this helped you

System Specs

Nice lineup. Can't complain about any of the parts you listed. I would go with the Seagate drive though as they offer a 3 year warranty with their drives. Sound card, Audigy 2 for sure, maybe the ZS. Rather than pick one of the cases you've mentioned I'll put my dibs in for Antecs upcoming P180. It got delayed though, so it's not out as of yet.. but it'd be worth waiting for. Although, all the ones you listed are nice cases too.

Again, nice lineup of parts.

-Tip

Edit: If your gonna get a DVD reader I would recommend one from either Pioneer or Toshiba.. particularly the Toshiba SD-M1912.

I just upgraded to about a two-year old platform. The beauty is, the MB that was $250 when new was only $125. . .and the system kicks ass. There are advantages to NOT contributing to cutting edge parts.
