DVD Decoder?

I formatted XP, reinstalled it slipstream SP2 and now, I can't watch DVDs with WMP... It says I need a decoder... How?

Install your DVD player software (eg WinDVD, PowerDVD...)

If you used to watch DVD's in WMP, did you have a different version installed? Maybe you had the windows codec pack installed before, and now need to reinstall it?

I'd just use one of the above suggested programs though... WMP sucks in my opinion.

I like Media Player Classic for my viewing needs (non DVD).

To clarify, I wasn't suggesting to use another software instead of WMP (since that wouldn't be answering the question .)
WMP is not a real DVD player, but uses the registered DVD decoder that it finds in the system, which comes from other "real" DVD player software.
So as soon as you install one of those, then WMP will be working like you want.

I just use the ATi DVD Decoder... but that requires you to have an ATi driver CD.. >.>
