Sad Mobo and Ram issues

Sup peeps!!! I am having problems with stability issues with my new computer that i just built and i need major help. I currently have An AMD64 FX53-939 with Gigabyte K8NSNXP-939 mobo, Corsair PC4400 DDR550 RAM 512x2, ATI x800 pro and a 380watt Antec TruePower PSU. Now my system seems to be stable when i place only 1 stick of RAM in there and totally unstable with 2. Its just a total waste using 1 so im wondering why is it doing this and how can i make my system stable. Oh yeah i have XP home edition as my OS. Please help im getting frustrated. This site rocks!!!!!!!!!!

Are you overclocking anything? Oh yeah, hi to DH! Anyways, is it possible the RAM is damaged? Or ur mobo? Try it with other rams and other slots!
