120gb drive (maxtor, ata133) shows as 32 gb....
Orginally it was detected right, but cosidering I've had this drive for over a year with alot of sesitive data on and off it I figured it was time for a secure wipe(since it was format time again anyways). I don't trust regular utills... I do what i've done so many times in the past... Load up the hard drive utillity in this case max bast 3, do a zero fill, then I repartition and format... on this drive I've resized partition before, added/removed partitions and used killdisk on the entire drive before. But I have never zero filled this drive till today.. now it's acting like i have the capisty limitation jumper on.... (btw: a7n8x deluxe -e mobo) I talked to dj stick and he said someing about factory preformating... That I could under stand but... why would the bios report it as being 32 gb as well Well I've reformated again and set up windows useing a DDO (dynamic disk overlay) So that the os at lest sees and uses the drives full capsity... wich is fine.... I don't under stand it but this is the first drive of this size that i've had so... before i've done this on all the drives i've ever had with zero problems... so i'm kinda confused (I'm likely to e soon selling this drive to be buying a 250gb maxtor w16mb cache anyways lol)
