Need a new case - any suggestions?
there are so many cases out there and i have no idea which ones are actually good. well i basically need a new case because my current vaio isn't very cool (as you might expect). i'm looking for a full sized ATX tower that can fit a regular microATX motherboard, with plenty of slots for fans, and something that looks remotely normal. maybe a black/gray tower would be nice and maybe a side window of some sorts. the only thing i dont like is for the case to be one of those hardcore gaming cases like alienware because they wouldnt match with my monitor lol. i'd like one that's reasonably priced under $100.

look around at newegg....as for brands, coolermaster and lian-li are my favorites. you better be sure that that motherboard isnt proprietary though, as that was the case with my old computer...in fact, it may not even be worth keeping, as their mobos are usualy dumbed down, unsupported peices of crap (even if made by companies like asus).

Antec PlusView AMG1000 is a quality case with lots of room and really good airflow. My old comp sat in one of those cases and I get temps which are 10c cooler than the Jeantech case its in now.
The Antec is a classic case and it is a good performer.

Just putting my two cents in, but if your looking for a new case with great cooling, and a bunch of nice features, this Kingwin case is great. I have one and I love it. It has a removeable motherboard tray, the holder for the hard drives even detaches, it has dual 80mm fans in both back in front, a 80mm fan on top and the top and sides all are see through, it's called the Kingwin WT 436B-WB. Here's a link below.

I would go with the Tsunami; It uses 120mm fans and looks great. DH has a nice review of it also

I dont see why not; it seems to be a clean design and it uses 120mm fans which are the way to go imo. But if you have like 5+ HDs and 3+ cd drives then a server case will probably work best. All three you mentioned are about the same size tho
